I have recently got some silverware from an op shop, I have no idea of this sort of stuff, can anyone help me with the following item.

Your item is called a food pusher ( sometimes called a baby food pusher).
The letters EP stand for ElectroPlated. NS stands for Nickel Silver which is the base metal.
