Benjamin Lord silver serving spoon

Post by geezlouise »

I just did some research on this site regarding this spoon and I'd like to verify it's age. The handle is engraved with the name R. B. Scudder. I'm unable to find any other silver on the internet made by B. Lord. Is it rare and is it possible it's really made between 1796 and 1807 as I've read here?

It could have been made in the first decade of the nineteenth century, but is more likely a decade or so later. Lord did continue working after 1808, for a fuller view of his career see->
