Swiss silver?

Post by Athos »

Dear Forum,
Can anybody tell me something about these Hallmarks?
I resently got a teacaddy with these Hallmarks.
The marks, I think looks Swiss, Lausanne 18th C, but I think that it also could be a late19th C one.
Thanks in advance for helping me.

Hello, looks like Wilhelm Brenner from Lausanne. Born of a German father in 1750, seems to have been active in Lausanne since ca. 1779, becomes a Swiss citizen in 1785, since ca. 1804 active in Geneva. Best wishes, Bahner

Thanks Bahner,
Of course I hoped the teacaddy was 18th C, but wasn't sure. Thank you very much for your help.
