This flask I recently purchased has an extra mark of the Kings head and I was to believe they went out in the 1890,s Can anyone help please?

The Kings Head mark that you query is actually the Silver Jubilee mark for 1934 / 1935 which corresponds to the Sheffield year mark. It is both the King and Queen in profile.

Hello JoW,
Welcome to the forum.
There was an optional sovereign mark used by assay offices for 1933/4 & 1934/5 to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of George V & Queen Mary; the mark actually contains profiles of both.
Your flask top was assayed in Sheffield in 1934/5. The makers appear to be James Dixon & Sons.

Although the "R"s are similar... the boxes they are in are a different shape, hence the misunderstanding of the date.
