This is a teaset I have from a family member. It's very heavy, all pieces are stamped the same with am m; a fleur-de-lis; and a crowned c. The mark is the same as the one on this 925-1000 site listed under: silverplate marks, worldwide, unidentified marks except it doesn't say silverplate. Mine is marked "silver on copper".
Thanks for your help.[/i]
"silver on copper" unidentified mark teaset
Re: "silver on copper" unidentified mark teaset
Ah but it does: "silver on copper" is per definition silver plate. :-)) I can't make your thumbnails expand to see the marks? From what you describe of them, they're run-of-the-mill US plate marks. What is it you would like to know?jowg wrote:except it doesn't say silverplate. Mine is marked "silver on copper".
