William Ingalls Tenney Coffee Spoons?

Post by dognose »

Hi,

This is a great little set of spoons, the like I've never seen before.

Image

They measure a mere 3 1/2" in length and weigh just 4 grams each. I'm guessing they were made to fit the small coffee cans of the early to mid 1800's, but they may have had another use.

The maker was William Ingalls Tenney (b.1806, d.1848).

Am I right about the use of these spoons or did they have another purpose?
