Portuguese mark

Post by kjohn »

Hello,
Anyone knows this Portuguese mark? I suspect it to be a maker's mark. It is on Portuguese Military Order badge. Thank you for looking.

João Rodrigues de Almeida of Odivelas, who registered this mark in 1981. (You have it illustrated upside-down; it’s the letter “J” with a bell on the right and a long cord trailing back around the “J”.) The firm still exists today as Dinisa - Sociedade Industrial e Comercial de Casquinhas, which de Almeida formed in 1987 with Lígia Garcia Rodrigues. They are manufacturers of trophies, awards and medals.

Hope this helps!
