There are three marks in sequence on the rim just left of the handle. And the BELGIE on the rim to the right of the handle. The makers mark, M over H is the last of the marks just below the rim and is also present on the top side of the platter. There are no marks on the bottom. The gentlemen are different on each side of the piece. One has an "Iron Cross" symbol on his left chest. Commemorative perhaps?
