I'm not sure if it was tested or the store assumed the mark to be a sterling mark?
I'm not sure this is the case and suspect it could be nickel silver with a pseudo mark made to deceive.
I hope this is not the case but would like to know one way or another.
(I have not cleaned this item yet so I'm not sure if the dull finish on the inside is an accumulation of oils /dirt or wearing down of a finish.)
