The decorations and subject matters are baroque in style, but I cannot put my finger on the marks. The size of the piece is about 4 x 6 cm.
The marks are quite worn, but you knowledge isn't. :)
Thank you in advance!
Please help ID the marks on a snuff box/spice jar.

Re: Please help ID the marks on a snuff box/spice jar.
I'm sorry
I can not find an Makersmark.
There is a crown and halfmoon and 800 = 800/1000.
It is silver vorm Germany after 1888.

There is also a french importmark (WEEVIL)

it looks a little bit like a Hanau product - probably Schleissner???

Thank you very much! Your assessment, based on the links you've provided, is most probably correct. Based on that, this piece dates ca. mid to late 1800s. I thought it was of earlier manufacture, based on the faithful rendition of the Baroque bucolic subject matter, but after looking at some fine Hanau-made silver I have no doubt that it is of a date later than I originally envisioned.
Thanks again!
