Why are there two marks of Assay Master Marks on one item?

Post by Elena Russ »

Hello, dear sirs!

I have the spoons which bear two marks of Assay Master Marks: Jens Sigsgaard and Frederik Fabritius. What is this situation?

The one that looks like the Frederik Fabritius assay master's mark was used by maker Poul C. Lütken Frigast from 1915.

F is the maker - and F is Frigast 1915 to 1976.
