Maker's Mark D.F - British

Post by redbird »

I have two silver vases each 7-1/2 inches tall. From the hallmarks I can determine that they are sterling, city mark London, with date letters 1920 and 1922 (although identical, the vases do have different date marks). The maker's mark is D.F in an elliptical cartouche. Can someone help identify the maker?

Is it D&F? If so, it would fit with Deakin & Francis Ltd, wholesale makers of the 20th century.

The maker's mark is clearly D.F, not D&F. Perhaps Deakin and Francis also used this mark?

Probably David Fullerton, active in this period.
