Happy New Year everyone!
I'm looking for identification of mark on this sterling jigger (or shot measure), mark is the initial "S" inside a spade shaped mark. I checked my books and am not locating anything like this. Thanks so much!

Hi,
Cannot identify it with certainty, but it is similar to the mark illustrated in Rainwater for the Sinclair Mfg. Co. of Chartley, MA., in business ca. 1950. The measure would match nicely to the time period.
Regards, Tom

Tom,
The "S" only needs a one-quarter turn clockwise and it's almost a match! Thanks so much for your efforts- I think I'll retire this inquiry. Maybe this is a "fantasy" mark? We should be working on more important stuff, like 17th c. sterling:)
