Identity of British Silver Spoons

Post by Crazytrout »

Just have acquired a set of six of these spoons. For the life of me I can not post a picture(not the best with computers)

My camera unfortunately does not take detailed enough pictures to view the hallmarks, however I have researched enough to have the following;

Standard Marks - Sterling
City Marks - London
London Date Letters - 1902

Above the hallmarks mentioned which I believe may be the maker is a shield like edging with the the following;

GJ
DF..or P

There is also a stamping of the head of a boar on the top of the spoon facing upwards.

Thank-you to anyone who is able to fill in the blanks in regards to what the above means as to maker and the boar's head.

Regards

GJ above DF is George Jackson & David Fullerton; they made a wide range of goods, including good flatware.
