Here is a knife which I believe is French. It has about 6 different marks on the blade, one of which is a key. the one on the far right could be an import mark and another mark looks like a guarantee mark. They are far too small for me to see properly, but I hope someone might be able to recognise them from the photos.

I have been doing a bit of research into the marks and the style of the knife. There appear to be two sets of marks dating from different periods. The old marks date from 1775-1801 and include from right to left, the mark of discharge for that period (knot?), what could be the letter N crowned (1776-1777 maison commune mark), possibly the Paris A mark and the makers mark which is a key.
The two much smaller marks to the left are later. The bottom one which also appears on the collar, is the rabbit head guarantee mark for 1819-38. I can't work out what the other one is, but it could be the mark photographed below the rabbit's head on the French hallmarks page of this site.
All I need to know now is who the maker is - who used a key mark - if that is the maker's mark?
