Yes, it's russian gold of 19 century. Fineness is 56 (zolotnik)
AS - Arnd Samuel (born in 1812) - goldsmith , in 1849 owned gold and silver workshop in Petersburg.

Thanks Dad (hee hee)!! By the way, this seller appears to have a very good reputation and I don't think they knew this was Russian nor 56 meant 14k gold, but merely tested it. Could it be the maker put in more gold than 14k?

56 zolotnik's = 14 karat's = 583 metric's fineness. Not more.
