A caucasian Pendant?

I've found this item by an aged woman, with many russian other jewelry items which comes directly from his family, the legend about this "pendant" when children ask for is it was for poison, the diameter is 18mm., and it's silver with low carat gold, the closing system is rustically but solid, in my opinion it was on a ribbon as necklace, and eventually caucasian, all ideas are welcome.
It's a great quality filigree work, this is a sophisticated technic used.
