authentic russian hallmarks?

Post by Christiane »

Hello,

I own 9 spoons with hallmarks that look russian, but i am not able to identify them. The marks are identical on all spoons, at one spoon the 875 hallmark is added. I would be glad to have further information, which city, silversmith etc. Thanks for any help! Christiane

Unfortunately your photos of the marks are too small. We need better and bigger closeups in order to say anything.

Sorry, sorry, no problem with the photos, they are good almost perfect.
The spoons are made in Pskov in Russia and assayed by Dimitry Leontevitsh Izjurov 1859-1881. One spoon is remarked in Riga after 1918 (The last mark to the right i.e. Milda) when Latvia became independent. The silver fineness is 875/1000.
Unfortunately I cannot identify the maker because I'm far from my library for the moment. Let's hope somebody else knows him.
