Information wanted about Gustav Keller

Post by slcsteve »

I've determined that the shaving brush that I have was made by Gustav Keller of Paris. Could anyone provide or guide me to any information regarding this silversmith?

thanks......Steve

So! Can I assume by the lack of response that no one has even heard of Gustav Keller (G. Keller) of Paris

I have certainly heard of Gustav Keller - in fact there are several items for sale by the company currently on internet. Apparently founded in 1857 along with a brother (frere). By the looks of what is on offer, solid work with some relatively soft art nouveau pieces dated in the 1890s. But as for more specific details, I'm afraid I can't help much...

An Andre Keller of Paris whose mark was registered c.1880 may perhaps have been a son or nephew?
