Hi, All.
This is my first post here...
I just picked these two sterling and what I believe to be Japanese marked teapots.
Is there anyone here that can help ID the markings so I can do further research on these pieces. The left corner mark corolates to left teapot and the right corner mark corolates to the right teapot.
Any help on date of the pieces or any information is greatly appreciated.
Kindest regards,
Greg

Re: Help With identification of Japanese Sterling
Both teapots are marked jungin (pure silver) and probably date to around 1925-1930.
While these teapots have some superficial similarities, the marks on them are unrelated.
The teapot on the right is marked Hyakueido, presumably the retailer.
The teapot on the left is as yet unidentified. Please consider reposting it separately as a new topic.

Re: Help With identification of Japanese Sterling
The teapot left have marks "純銀" (pure silver) and "美" (unknown master).

Thanks for the info.
I have some additional images of the same teapots with other marking on it.
Images 5 & 6 specifically.

"一则镌" means "engraved by "一则".
Re: Help With identification of Japanese Sterling
New research reveals that without a doubt, the mark on the right is not Hyakueido 百as I previously surmised, but Tenshodo 天賞. This Tenshodo mark is written in an abbreviated, cursive style of writing that is difficult to decipher.
Dognose has provided information on Tenshodo in the Contributor's Notes, CES and Far East p. 3.

Thank you, David. Is there a link that you have where I can read about the CES and Far East p. 3.?
