I've gone through Tardy page by page and am unable to locate the origin. I'd sincerely appreciate any help the members can offer on this one. It appears to be sterling.
Yes I agree with Hose, pseudo or fake marks pretending to be Old Dutch guild marks for the city of Deventer.
On the 4th photo, the image to the right looks like a Dutch Dolphin, the 1859-1893 duty mark for new unguaranteed objects of national origin with the ‘export key’1853-1953, to indicate 2/3 marking duty restitution upon export.
Yes I agree with Dad; oval frame-shaped weevil mark, 4th photo, left image and up site down. French Import silver mark used 1864-1893, imported items of both gold and silver could be of any standard and still legally sold once brought into France. Items imported from a treaty country were stamped with an oval frame-shaped weevil mark (Charançon).
Imported items from a non-treaty country were struck with the rectangular frame-shaped ET mark. The ET was for Étranger, the French word for foreign.
