French Coffepot with worn makersmark

Post by zilverik »

Hi,

This is a good quality French coffepot made for export (Mercure facing left). Around 1900 or somewhat later, I guess. Weight 797 gramms, high 22,7 cm. The makersmark (2x) is (both) partly visible and shows: "& Fils". Maybe someone knows the maker?

Regards,

Zilverik

Hi Zilver2,

Thank you very much! Now I understand the good quality of the jug.
Savary et Fils was the successor of Ravinet d'Enfert, I just read (in Dictionairre de Poincons d'Orfevrerie edite par Paris-Bijoux S.A.).

Regards,
