Year ago I received information from; http://www.chineseexportsilver.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; but unfortunately this webside with all valuable information went out of the air and I lost contact.

What I know so far WHL; this is a Canton firm that has yet to be identified (according to NJ Irons who has also observed an example of this maker) The Artisan mark is the mark of Pin/Bin/Pan. Could any of our contributors confirm or add more information?
I thank you in advance.

Hello Oel

As far as I can confirm, pieces stamped WHL are not terribly common and when they do appear the maker is listed as "unidentified."

Looks like fine workmanship and probably dates to the late 19th century.

Sorry that I cannot add to the excellent information you have already provided.

Best regards

David
