Egyptian Silver Plate

Post by MikeN »

I was in Cairo in 2009 and was presented with a silver plate with the following Hallmark stamped in it.

I believe it is .900 grade silver. However the two symbols after what looks like a 9 in my care are vertical and all the research I have done shows .900 grade with the two symbols horizontal. Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance....

You know it all, Silver 900/1000, Egypt, Cairo most likely after 1964. The lotus flower is the hallmark for Egypt and the last mark to the right is the year mark. Try to find the year yourself.
