Unidentified mark help - Any update on this mark

Post by redmancge »

I came across a 3 pc sterling Tea set and it has the makers mark listed in the unidentified makers marks list. Its the Jensen/LaPaglia style mark that's listed in the middle row 2nd one down. Looks like an "H and maybe connected K" inside a beaded circle. Mine is a small tea set with the bottom of the bowls on the teapot sugar and creamer bowls raised off the bases by a fairly intricate leaf work pattern that seperates the bowl of each item to it's base as if their suspended. Really beautiful set but I can't find any other information until I came across this unidentified mark on that page. Anyone have any further updates on who it might be, Each piece is only got that makers mark along with word sterling underneath and then a number i.e..... 74 & 75. Which tends to make me belive its American since there's no hallmarking as to other countries or silver fineness. WHAT IS IT. Thanks for any help

Hi ~ welcome to the forums.

You might find the thread below interesting, haven't done any research beyond what is mentioned there, the Rago catalog referenced did not show or describe the mark, so can only guess that perhaps the original poster saw the pieces in person... Suspect the attribution is most likely correct, but they never returned to provide any other information regarding their identification.

Could you please post pictures of your set?
