That would be Harman & Lambert over-striking that of another.



Harman & Lambert were the successors to Lambert & Rawlings, and it is of no surprise that their mark was struck over the work of another, as by this time they were basically retailers only. Your item was assayed in 1969, just prior to Harman & Lambert going out of business. They were located at 177 New Bond Street , London.
