Regarding a cocktail shaker; Chinese export silver made by Zee Sung, Shanghai circa 1910. Zee Sung is a rather prolific maker of a wide spectrum of objects, ranging from small jewellery and ashtrays to grand, high quality trophies and chalices, reference from; Chinese Export Silver 1785-1940 Catalogue of Makers’ Marks Researched and compiled by Adrien von Ferscht.
The shaker is 27 cm in height, the weight 657 grams. Circular cartouche with the monogram ACS. I should probably know by now but I don’t know the meaning of the Chinese character next to Zee Sung. I believe it to be an artesians' mark but could someone confirm.
Thanks in advance.
