Hallmark identification for Reed & Barton pitcher

Post by beachcomber »

I am brand new to this forum and need some help identifying the hallmark/date for a Reed & Barton pitcher I bought at an estate sale. I think it might be pewter, but not sure - might be silverplate? The website I found online: http://www.925-1000.com/RB_Date_Code.html does not contain the symbol on the bottom of my pitcher. My picture of the bottom isn't very good, but there's a picture of what appears to be a fruit. It's round with a stem and two leaves on top. Under that are four letters EPNS - the E and P are enclosed in a shield and N and S are in circles. Under that is "Reed & Barton" and under that is "5550 1/2". Any help would be much appreicated.

Hi welcome to the forum

Your images are far too small. We need a bigger image of the marks for our contributors.
