French Silver gold gilt enamelled spoon ?

Hi all .. my first post so please be kind

i have just found this lovely little spoon and i was wanting to know if anyone could help identify the marks, it seems to me to be a French looking spoon so i hope i have posted this in the right place ..

it is marked 925 S and i think serpents around a staff ?
