This mark appears faded/worn. Does anyone recognize it? If so, is the piece plate? Sterling? The spoon it engraved "The Canton Co." I appreciate your input.

Welcome to the Forum.
Can you make out the letters contained in the mark?

Re: Help Identifying Faded Mark on Teaspoon
The photo shows the mark as good as anything else I have tried. So, I would simply be interpreting the photo, the same as you. I have seen photos of pieces made by ESCO. I thought the "SCo" visible in the mark might by part of an ESCO mark. However, this mark appears to have an "H" or similar letter at the beginning, followed by other rubbed out letters before the "SCo". I have not seen any ESCO marks with similar lettering.

After taking and enlarging more photos, it looks like the mark could be "H. & F. S.Co." or "H. & E. S.Co." Do these ring a bell to anyone?
