I have a silver spoon, possibly Norwegian with some marks that I haven't been able to locate on the site. Could someone help identify these marks for me.
The top of the spoon is an enameled castle with a fish beneath it.
The marks on the back are clear but it was very difficult to take a picture. They are as follows.
An eagle, facing left
A heart with a crown in the center
The number 830
The letter A with a line across the top of it
and lastly.. V7
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. :)
Norwegian Silver Spoon With Eagle and crown
Since there aren't any makers on the Finnish mark's page, I can add that the maker is Auran Kultaseppä Oy (Auran Goldsmiths Inc).
The castle with the salmon underneath is the coat of arms of the city of Oulu.
As a curiosity, the city mark for Turku is a Virgin Mary monogram, a combination of the letter A and M for Ave Maria. The Swedish city of Västerås has the same mark, and the reason is of course that the cathedrals in both cities are dedicated to the Virgin Mary.
