London Hallmark Question

Post by silverly »

Here's a hallmark that has a date letter in it that doesn't fit for this company unless of course I am missing the obvious: Please let me know what years the date letter signifies.

Hi Silverly,

The date letter is 2000, the sponsor, Ari Norman.

Thank you Trev. I saw one reference that showed the London 2000 date letter as an "A" without the correct case and no cartouche, so I was hopeful that there was nothing wrong.

That's great. It looks like there could be confusion with 1956 and 2000 if someone like myself is not careful. Have all the British towns standardized their date letters by chance?

Indeed they have since 1975.
