teapot hallmark

Post by zibbyg15 »

Hi,

I have a large teapot and burner that i cannot identify the mark of. I have noted the JSL initial but after much research cannot lock down this name or who it is. It is part of an assembled tea set that is german/austrian.

Thanks for any help.

Here is a link to the two makers marks and image of the large burner. The last two images are the marks on the teapot and burner as labeled. Many thanks.

Hi Elizabeth,

The maker of the teapot and burner was the Hanau firm of Jean L. Schlingloff.

See: http://www.925-1000.com/Fgerman_hanau_marks_01.html

and http://www.925-1000.com/hx_schlingloff.html
