Hi,
I have a teapot stand that i believe to be Georgian III but the mark is very interesting and one which i have not come across before. Anyone have any thoughts or ideas on the origin/style and maker's mark. Below is the link to my album which is called Teapot Stand, where you will find two photos, one of the stand and one of the mark. many thanks for all thoughts!

Hi Elizabeth,
That's not a hallmark, it's the engraved crest of a former owner.

I'll move the post to the family crest section to see if we have any joy there.

The crest is quite worn, but it does seem to be a cubit arm vested (with a sleeve) and holding a scrolled parchment. That would be for one of the many branches of KENNEY of Ireland. The arm seems to be charged with three diamond shapes, which could be described as lozenges or fusils. There are differences between the two, but engravers did not always appreciate the subtleties. It would be a way of distinguishing which junior branch of the Kenney family, but I'll let others try their hand at those details. Cheers.
