Hello,
After hours of trying I still canno edit my post. What I really wanted to ask is what the markings meant. Please help!

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

I think your tray is very likely to be made of pewter. The 95 would indicate 95% tin, and the 'E' likely to stand for Etain, the French for Pewter.

Here's a couple of similarly styled markings:

The top example is by the Italian company Val Peltro, the second is unknown to me.
