SMALL SILVER CHAINMAIL PURSE

I have had this chainmail coin purse for some 50 years and cannot verify age and hallmark Can anyone help?

Hi Shrimp,

Welcome to the Forum.

That's a London import mark for 1913. There should be another mark mark somewhere that identifies the importer.

That's the one, 'C & C'

Cohen & Charles (Albert Cohen and Charles Soloman) were the English agents for the French mesh bag manufacturer, Baudet Frères & Cie of Paris.

Hi Trevor I looked on Baudet Freres and Cie site It notes 1913 to 1924 silversmiths Bertrand and Masing with a gondola symbol Do you think that symbol is on the purse Looks a bit like it

I'm not sure what symbol you are referring too, but suspect it may be the London mark.
