I am new to this forum simply because I have a question about a piece of jewellery that I acquired a couple of weeks ago. It is a 925 silver pendant and chain with three sapphires set on what looks like a snake type pendant with two tiny possible diamonds top and bottom of the centre sapphire. I am by no means by any stretch of the imagination an expert on hallmarks etc, hence my question in this forum. I suspect from reading in some of the posts that it may well be Italian as I can see at 40x magnification the hallmark *1 AR on the item with 925 beneath it. Could anyone shed any light as to who the maker and age of the pendant is please?
Apologies for the imagery as the item is so small that it is difficult to photograph even with a macro lens. The markings are even smaller, hence no image.
