HELP WITH BERNSTEIN MARK

Post by 606brethertonj »

Hi there,

I wonder if anyone could help me with some German fish knives and forks I've recently acquired. They're very Art Nouveau or Jugendstil and I thought that the maker was Bruckmann & Sohne, however there is additional name that is confusing me. Bernstein appears on each knife and fork.

Each piece is very high quality and quite heavy too.

The item was produced by Bruckmann. Bernstein (German for amber) was most probably the selling jeweller.
