The actual date/hallmarks on this piece are so small I really can't make them out even with a loupe. They are modern (post-1993) pieces and are marked as being "Sterling Silver Filled." Is anyone familiar with the maker "CA" noted on the bottom? Further, what exactly is "sterling silver filled?" Is it like your typical weighted candlestick, or something different? These pieces seem far more sturdy than your standard weighted piece.
Thanks for any help!

Re: Modern Birmingham Hallmark
This is the mark of a company called Country Artists Ltd of Stratford-upon-Avon. The script CA shown on the bottom label is their trade mark and is often seen stamped on their figurines in addition to their sponsor's mark (CA in a shield) and the hallmark.
