Help Identify Spoon

Post by jpebon »

Hello, I recently identified quite a few old silver flatware. I am stumped on these spoons though. Any help would be appreciated. All the other spoons are from New England, 1840-1900 era. These spoons only have the marking "800" and are 7 inches long.

Great Jeff,

So glad that worked for you. Do note in your last image, not only is it shaded but as you lean over the object the camera and photographer create a second shadow making it even darker. Keep working with everything you shoot, the images will get larger and clearer.

Do review the excellent 925 article on Yogya silver that Bahner suggested then at the bottom click on the Djokja.nl link. Click on klik op de... which will give you a list. Click on vitrine that will open up to a series of fine examples for your review.

Enjoy!
Warren
