I found this spoon here in Victoria BC this month.
I have tried searching through your data base but so far I have had no luck.
Any help would be appreciated.
I see it's been almost a year since you posted and received no response.
I cannot help you but i also have an item presumably from the same maker
and i'll try to show a picture although i'm not certain how to do this yet.
It's a stiletto/dagger/letter opener/whatever.
Have you had any luck with your ID yet from other sources? Maybe we can
team up and get to the bottom of this? I'm in Greenwood, BC. Thanks.
Michael. (admin edit)
Hello Michael. No I have not had any luck getting an identification on the maker here..
I would like to see your item. If you can not upload a pic I will send you my email address.
PS I was up your way a month ago Metal detecting with a friend. We hit Phoenix and Paris.
I think the next time we will look around Greenwood.
Firms like D & A used a wide variety of marks often without their name applied, especially on those goods supplied for export and to wholesalers. This would be at the request of the bulk buyer in an attempt retain future business from retailers who wanted to stock ongoing lines of exactly the same product, preventing them knowing the actual source.
