Hi, I recently brought 6 napkin brings as I believed them to be filigree silver, the problem I have is when I acid tested the cartouche on the front, it turned green.
Now it's more than probable that this is not silver, but I was wondering if it may be a lower grade silver such as .835 (would .835 silver turn green when acid tested?)
I may try the test again on the filigree itself just in case the cartouche is base metal.
It also passed the magnet test
Anyone have any thoughts?
Thanks,
indianajonez
