Please Help-? I.D. Sterling Marks Canadian Bagpiping Medals

I have inherited my Mom's Bagpiping Medals, most of which date from the Early 40's to the 60's.
Some have the word "Sterling" engraved, and some kind of Mark, which I assume to be a Sterling Maker's Mark.
Others have no mark at all, but appear to silver of some kind, although heavily tarnished.
At the time, "Birks" was a Nationally Famous Maker and Commissioner of Medals of all types,
though I'm sure that there may have been other companies crafting Medals from Sterling Silver.
There were also a few British and American companies as well, I've been told.
I have enclosed Pictures.
I would appreciate any kind of guidance, Please!
