Mystery mixture of hallmarks

Post by mintymin »

Hi everyone
I am a long time member and used the forum a lot to help me with finding information but first time posting as this one has me stumped

I have a bracelet that has what looks like Swedish date letter B11 for 2000 but the other marks don't look at all like Swedish marks.
Has anyone seen any other country marks that look like this?
It has the name MARIA then a stamped PW or PPW (not sure if one of the Ps is an accidental double stamp) then a silhouette in a circle. Looks like a bell with a crown on or a pineapple. I cannot find a country this might be but the B11 does look like a date mark.
Thanks for any help you can give with this?

Hi Mintymin,

Welcome to the Forum.

To me, the mark to the right of the 'PW' looks like it may be the mark of Stockholm, the crowned head of St. Erik.

That's brilliant. I have looked at that but it never registered. It just didn't make sense not to have any of the other control marks on it, but I am really happy to know where it is from. It doesn't help that some marks seem to have no detail on them at all when others do. Would you know if city marks are just an outline mark or should it have more detail on the surface and its rubbed off?
Thanks again.

Hi Amanda,

I'm afraid I know nothing about modern Swedish hallmarking regulations. Hopefully someone with more knowledge may add some information.
