Maker **LLIOT

Post by Mary123 »

Hi

I'd appreciate any help I can get with the maker of this piece. The mark is a bit worn but I think the last letters are 'LLIOT'. I haven't been able to find anything similar.

Thanks in advance.

Mary

Hi Mary,

Welcome to the Forum.

Great item!

I think it likely that it is the mark of Charles Folliot of Paris, but wait for the thoughts of those with better knowledge of French maker's marks to give their opinion.

Thank you for all the help.

I've tried googling Charles Folliot and can find very little information or examples of his work. Was he not very prolific?

Kind regards

Mary
