Hi Larry,

The image of the maker's mark is hardly discernible. Please try again in natural daylight (no flash), using the macro feature on your camera. I guess there are also another set of marks, please show those as well.

Nope, no other marks other than what's shown & the identical marks are on the inside of the back & the dust cover so I don't believe anything is worn off.

I'd believe that the toadstool looking mark (& perhaps the I) below the case number is/are the maker mark but I admit the marks are a bit unusual & I can find any clue as to who the maker was.

Not really that important but I'm curious.

The "toadstool" mark is actually 2 letters separated by a stop - I suspect that it may be W.E for William Ehrhardt Ltd.
