Large Tongs

Hello All. I cannot find any info. on this maker, J. Herrick. I would appreciate any information. They are large, at 6 1/2 inches and 60 grams. Thank you.

Hello All. After doing some research, based on the form and the look of the marks compared to others I have seen, I think now perhaps these are American Coin silver tongs with pseudo marks. Any thoughts are appreciated.

I am sorry, I thought that was presumed. The pseudo marks are not attributed, but have been found on typical pieces also marked by several NYC retailers c 1840-1850
