identifiyng silver marks

Post by ajne »

Hello,

We are trying to identify the hallmarks on engraved silver plates. Please find pictures attached.
We think it might be swiss silver from Zofingen ? But we can't establish the grade nor the maker.
Thank you in advance for helping us out.

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

Your question cannot be answered without the required images. The below should help you:

How to Add Images

Posting Requirements

and: http://www.925-1000.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=42199

http://www.postimg.com is recommended. Embedded images get a far greater response than just posting links.

Remember to use the 'Preview' feature, if you cannot see the images, then neither can we.

Possible Swiss, but the mark of Zofingen is different.
If Swiss, then I tend towards Solothurn or more likley Lausanne.
Could not find a match for the crowned G yet.

Thank you for that . It might indeed be very well possible that it is from Lausanne. How to establish the grade of silver I don't know and the other two marks I also have no clue. The last mark seems like a wolf head..If by chance you should find anything else it would be appreciated. Best regards, Alex.
