Hi folks,
I was wondering if anyone could help identify a style of Silver Jewellery. The attached Necklace has no hallmark, but tests for a high content of silver. The stones are no doubt synthetic. I think it's a very nicely wrought piece of jewellery and would like to see if I can identify the style/period it may represent.
If anyone has any thoughts I'd love to hear them!
All the best
Mystery Silver, Indian?
Re: Mystery Silver, Indian?
Hi,
I opt for India, too, or at least of Asian origin.Lobster clasp indicates modern production.
I`m afraid positive identification is rather impossible unless you find similar necklace with reliable provenance.
Stones resembling pink coral are simply glued, not very sophisticated craftsmanship.
Nevertheless, enjoy it, but not a piece of jewelry to spend too much time searching for the origin.
