The romantic in me would like to trace the history of a cocktail watch that I own. I have a year and maker for the watch, but have been unable to verify whether the bracelet is original or a later addition. The only mark I can find is shown in the image; I'm assuming it reads 922 rather than 226. Is there any information that I can draw from this to establish a date or origin?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Re: Watch Mesh Bracelet - Silver/White Gold
Hi,
Welcome to the forum.
This is the mark on the bracelet. Cannot identify it, but it`s not gold and silver mark.
The bracelet looks genuine, it`s practically impossible to replace it.
I would suggest visiting the nearest Rolex dealer and asking him to open the case.
All answers are in there.
Regards
